Thank you Nicole for your encouraging response. I am elated that you celebrated your Birthday the day we closed camp. Indeed keep focussed and i am sure yiou can one time join the Gang in the field. Keep it right here for the best news on the ongoing expeditions

I just wanted to say how beautiful the pictures are on this site! They are simply gorgous and above all you guys finished the expedition on my birthday! I hope to be there as soon as possible and if there is any way for me to volunteer please let me know, because I plan to be a paleoanthropologist and think it would be a great experience!

Another informative dispatch, Nzuve. It's interesting to get a little "slice" of KFRP camp life along with the fossil finds now and again.

thank you fornreplying to my previous question. suppose one wants to do a voluntary fossil hunt with your team as part of experience gaining and moreso to develop further interest in the quest for the origin of mankind, is one welcome? are there certain criterias one must fulfil to be accepted in?
am asking this because i actually come from illeret, a student with particular interest in your research work. i am interested in Anthropology though curently pursuing a degree course in political science.
the research is on till when? if possible, i can do a day of voluntary fossil hunting with the team. am currently in London but will be back to kenya in three weeks time.
get back to me if you can coz i know you have to care of a million things there
cheers

Habara, thanks for your interest in this blog. We would not be able to do what we do with out a very strong and unified team. We have people of many tribes working together here which is a good thing that the next generation can work well together. We have Daasanach, Gabbra, Turkana, Kikuyu, Wakamba, Luo, Masai, Kalenjin and a few Wazungu and even Wamericani working together! Thats quite good dont you think.

The Institute is part of SUNY but will develop field programs for students from anywhere to join. We are particularly interested in getting East African scholars involved as ultimately the success of it all will depend on this. More on TBI in another post soon perhaps.
